I've been meaning to update for the longest time. I really should just get rid of this blog. Not ever really sure its read all the much and it ends up just making me feel guilty for not updating more often. But, its a nice 'journal' of sorts for me....so I continue.
Cole turned TWO today. I hate it completely. I'm sure I'll hate it when he turns three even more and detest it when he turns 4. I just want to keep him my baby forever. I'm perfectly happy with that...especially since he's enjoying the 'terrible twos'. His 'babyhood' was much more enjoyable. I'm really not going to miss his current 'phase' of loving to through his food all over the kitchen and living room when he'd rather not eat. Nope...not going to miss that.
Anyways...here are some photos of the day.
Cole got a toy Minion....he LOVES Minions!
He also got a minion cake. He calls minions 'ba-ba'. Its the 'ba-ba' movie. Its all from that little youtube video of the minions singing 'Barbara Ann'.
"Cheese!" He also got a little cart.

OUR TRIP -
We went down to Utah for a family reunion with Kendall's family. We flew into Vegas and drove up (all for cost...no real desire to be in Vegas)
Here we are "leaving Las Vegas"
Joe and Cole watching "Wreck It Ralph"
Joe singing to us on the long ride to Utah
Before we headed out of Vegas, we stopped and did a couple fun things. We spent a small fortune for all the kids to ride 3 rides at the Adventure Dome in Circus Circus
Joe is only smiling because the ride hasn't started yet. He thought it would be great fun and then screaming through the whole thing. Miles loved it though!
We spent the night with some good friends in Delta, Utah on our way into Provo
HORSES - we had to endure hours of 'squeals' from Isabel every time we saw a horse through the MANY MANY miles of rural Utah.
Visiting our Alma Mater......
Ethan got tired of hearing "oh look...do you remember...."
Ice cream at the Courgareat!
Family reunion photos. We met up with Kendall's family at Aspen Grove - a 'family camp' in canyon at the base of Mt. Timpanogus (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong). Here we are with Kendall's mother.
Miles enjoying the miniature golf
Played LOTS of games
Here's all of us
Miles and Joe
All the kids...
Joe and Miles LOVED rolling down this big hill. Spend a lot of time at it
Miles and Joe having a great time playing at the "Cowboy Village' at Aspen Grove. It was a bunch of old western play buildings. We spent all the boys' free time there.
Cousins enjoying a movie
Breakfast at the dining hall
Cole at one of the little parks there. There were lots of great play places
Alicia and I being artistic together.
Joe playing on the fire truck there
Believe it or not...I even tried out the climbing course. It was NOT easy and I bet the guy holding the rope did half the work, but I'm glad I did it. I made it to the top!
More cowboy village
More cowboy village...
Painting ceramics with the girls
Kendall ready to repel down from the climbing wall
Oops...out of order....me ready to start climbing
Miles 'panning for gold'....he loved it
Probably the thing the boys loved the most was the night they brought out the train. We must have rode it 20 times. They had snow cones too..and the nice guy driving the little train, let Miles wear his hat...he was thrilled!
Kendall and Kyle playing horse shoes
Kendall and Joe enjoying the little fishing pond.
Cole's favorite thing were the swings! :)
It was really a pretty place!
Clara with her group
Ethan ready to attempt the climbing wall and ropes course
Kendall and I working on our wood pens. That was lots of fun. We made pens with a lathe.
Ethan on the climbing wall and ropes course. He was really nervous to repel down. Last time he was climbing he wouldn't repel. We were proud of him that he did it this time.
Miles and his 'tree chair' as he called it
Miles and his group on a hike. I went with them that day. Too many kids and MIles is unpredictable. He had a great time though! He asked to go on the hike again.
Water fun after the hike
Kendall and Miles fishing
Clara and her cousins playing clue
Karen and I playing pool. We don't really know what we're doing...but we had fun!
A family dance at the end of the week at Aspen Grove that was a BIG hit with the kids! Clara and Isabel begged and begged for us to let them go to the teen dance after ward. Isabel cried that she couldn't wait until she was 14 and could go to dances!
We played a LOT of games that week
Clara and Isabel taking a pottery class.
Isabel and her fish that she caught
Kendall and I snuck away one morning and checked out Sundance
After leaving Aspen Grove, we checked out the Paleontology museum in Provo. Cole food? :)
Joe was fascinated with the fossilized poop...sigh...
We visited Temple Square. The girls LOVED the Beehive House. I was so glad. It was always one of my favorite things to see as a kid.
In the Conference Center
Temple Square Visitor's Center
Ahh...Kendall and I back where it all began 18 years ago. We stood there together 18 years ago...2 very naive kids. Look what's happened to us since!
Had a chance to meet up with my Uncle and Aunt, who live in Idaho. They happened to be in town for a family reunion with Laurie's family. It was fun to see them and nice of them to make the trip to visit.
Before we headed back to Vegas for our flight home, we dropped Ethan off at EFY there at BYU. He had a great time and really wants to go back again next year. We'll see.....
The girls INSISTED that we stop at M&M World in Vegas before we left. We made a quick trip right before we headed for the airport. It was a fun trip and it was great to spend time together as a family and see all our extended family.
Since we've been back, we've been busy. We baby sat a stray dog for a couple days. The girls really wanted to keep him. He did find his owner eventually. Cole was thrilled, as he's obsessed with dogs. He calls them all 'rough-rough'. We keep trying to get him to say 'dog', but all we get is 'rough rough'.
Cole in the back yard
Right after Ethan got back from EFY, he took off for 10 days in Virginia with my brother and his family. Ethan was able to go with Luke and their Young Men's group on their High Adventure trip. They floated the James River on rafts. Luke was nice enough to take Ethan around to some tourist sites too. Here they are at Harper's Ferry.
We went with my extended family on a family camping trip that has become somewhat of a summer tradition. Breakfast time!
Hanging out with cousins!
